Job summary

SPX Xpress (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Warehouse Technician for the Automated Sorting Machine in Melaka to support daily monitoring and maintenance for smooth operations.

You will attend to breakdowns, install and commission new equipment, and perform scheduled maintenance with engineers. Strong PLC and electrical knowledge, plus the ability to read schematics and repair conveyor systems, are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Experience with PLCs and controlling systems is expected
• Able to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics for troubleshooting

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain automated sorting machine systems to ensure smooth operation
• Respond to breakdowns and maintenance requests promptly
• Install and commission new equipment and perform scheduled maintenance
• Repair, clean, lubricate, and adjust mechanical and electrical components as needed
• Maintain records of machine service history and SOPs with engineers

Warehouse Technician (Automated Sorting Machine) - Melaka

Job Description :

Support day-to-day machine monitoring and maintenances to ensure smooth business operation

Attend to breakdown & maintenance complaints promptly

Carry out installation and commissioning of new equipment and scheduled maintenance works according to the checklist at designated areas / sites

Repair, clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machine where required

Maintain proper record of machines & machine service history

Perform ad hoc or other jobs as assigned by the engineer

Assist Lead Engineers to review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and maintenance program

Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or other related field or equivalent experience with Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems
• Experience in a warehouse environment would be an added advantage
• Experience in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and controlling system
• Have strong knowledge in repairing mechanical parts e.g. Conveyor belt, roller, barring etc.
• Able to read and utilize mechanical & electrical schematics to assist in troubleshooting and resolution of mechanical and electronic components.
