Job summary

Tiong Nam Logistics Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced leader to head warehouse and logistics operations in Shah Alam. You will optimize workflows, improve inventory control, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely, cost-efficient deliveries.

You will maintain strong client relationships, oversee reporting, and guide teams to uphold safety and efficiency while supporting senior management in account planning and performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in logistics or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in warehouse management or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control and logistics principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritise work and perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience managing suppliers, carriers, logistics service providers and client accounts is preferred.
• Strong reporting, analytical and account planning capabilities are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead warehouse and logistics operations by optimising workflows, inventory management, storage utilisation and supplier coordination.
• Develop and enforce efficient workflows and procedures by optimising layout and storage spaces to maximise efficiency and productivity.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through regular audits and cycle counts, and implement inventory optimisation strategies.
• Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the logistics process.
• Negotiate contracts and rates with suppliers, carriers and logistics service providers to ensure cost-efficient and timely delivery.
• Act as the key point of contact between internal teams and clients, addressing operational challenges promptly to meet client and internal objectives.
• Work closely with Senior Management on key account management, maintaining and growing client satisfaction and profile.
• Deliver high-quality project reporting, extracting key issues and insights to support informed decision-making and account planning.
• Motivate teams and foster positive, collaborative working relationships while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a relevant field, or equivalent work experience.

At least 5 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role.

Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control and logistics principles.

Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to multitask, prioritise work and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Experience managing suppliers, carriers, logistics service providers and client accounts is preferred.

Strong reporting, analytical and account planning capabilities are advantageous.
