Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, distribution or logistics environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload incoming goods, verify quantities and inspect for damage or discrepancies.
• Organise and store goods in designated locations using proper methods.
• Pick and pack orders according to customer specs and shipping requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and update warehouse management systems.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Load goods onto vehicles for dispatch and ensure safe transport.
• Keep the warehouse clean, safe and well organized.
• Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks and other equipment safely.
• Assist with maintenance and report equipment issues to management.
• Support wider warehouse team to meet daily targets and deadlines.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Warehouse Assistant to join our team at SBH KIBING SOLAR NEW MATERIALS (M) SDN. BHD. This is a full-time position based in Klang. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse and distribution centre. You will be responsible for ensuring that goods are stored correctly, orders are processed accurately, and inventory levels are maintained to the highest standards. This role is essential to our supply chain operations and directly impacts our ability to serve our customers effectively.

What you'll be doing

Receiving and unloading incoming goods, verifying quantities and checking for damage or discrepancies

Organising and storing goods in designated warehouse locations using appropriate storage methods and systems

Picking and packing orders accurately according to customer specifications and shipping requirements

Maintaining accurate inventory records and updating warehouse management systems

Conducting regular stock counts and reconciling inventory discrepancies

Loading goods onto vehicles for dispatch, ensuring items are secured safely for transport

Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organised, adhering to health and safety standards

Operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks and other material handling equipment safely

Assisting with warehouse maintenance tasks and reporting any equipment issues to management

Supporting the wider warehouse team to meet daily targets and deadlines

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution or similar logistics environment is highly desirable

Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry heavy items regularly

Strong organisational and attention to detail skills with the ability to work accurately under pressure

Basic computer literacy and experience using warehouse management systems is preferred

Ability to follow instructions carefully and work both independently and as part of a team

Excellent time management and reliability, with consistent attendance

A keen eye for identifying and resolving inventory issues

Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification is advantageous

Ability to work flexible hours, including shift work if required

A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining high safety standards
