Job summary

SBH Kibing Solar New Materials (M) Sdn Bhd in Sabah seeks an experienced engineer to operate and monitor steam boilers, turbines and related equipment, ensuring optimal performance. You will also maintain accurate records and work with the team to address issues.

The role requires a Steam Engineer Grade 1 or 2 certification, strong technical knowledge, and excellent problem-solving and teamwork abilities. Training and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Steam Engineer Grade 1 or 2 certification.
• Strong knowledge of boilers, turbines and steam systems.
• Ability to read and apply technical manuals, schematics, and procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor steam boilers, turbines, and related equipment to maintain optimal performance.
• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on steam systems.
• Maintain detailed records of operations, including logs, work orders, and performance data.
• Collaborate with the operations team to troubleshoot steam-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers as required.

Job description

Operate and monitor steam boilers, turbines, and associated equipment to maintain optimal performance and efficiency

Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on steam systems to identify and address any issues

Maintain detailed records of operations, including log entries, work orders, and equipment performance data

Collaborate with the broader operations team to troubleshoot and resolve any steam-related problems

Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies

Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers as required
