Job summary

VAT Vakuumventile AG in Malaysia invites applications for a Process Engineering Manager to lead process development, optimize manufacturing operations, and drive continuous improvement across production lines. You will mentor a team of process engineers and partner with QA, maintenance and R&D to raise quality, efficiency and yield.

You will manage expansion projects, implement new processes for customer prototypes, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment (rubber moulding preferred).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and lean principles.
• Experience with SPC, FMEA and DOE.
• Experience with new production line setup and mass production qualification.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and team management skills. Familiar with vulcanization process.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
• Conduct process capability studies, root cause analysis and DOE to remove bottlenecks.
• Develop process flow diagrams, work instructions and related documentation.
• Optimize production to improve yield, reduce cycle times and minimize waste.
• Investigate and adopt new technologies and equipment for efficiency gains.
• Ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance across manufacturing.
• Lead process improvement projects including new product introductions and relocations.
• Manage project plans, timelines and budgets; mentor the process engineering team.
• Collaborate with production, quality control, maintenance and R&D; build strong stakeholder relations.
• Maintain a safe and environmentally compliant work environment.
