Job summary

OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Berhad is seeking a VP - Risk Analyst in Business & Operational Audit to lead risk analytics, surveillance reviews, and remediation tracking. The role demands deep data expertise, strong communication with business stakeholders, and the ability to drive improvements across conduct, financial crime, and operational risk.

You will work on complex datasets and develop automated solutions, contributing to a sustainable risk oversight framework.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Python, SQL, ML, predictive analytics and data engineering.
Ability to analyze large, complex datasets and build automated solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Effective communication of technical findings to business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Conduct surveillance reviews and testing of business controls across conduct, financial crime, and operational risk.
Identify emerging risk trends and control weaknesses via analytics and thematic reviews.
Track and follow up on risk issues and remediation actions.
Support investigations, audits, and regulatory reviews.
Escalate material findings and ensure timely reporting to management.
Drive continuous improvement in risk oversight and surveillance effectiveness.
