Job summary

OCBC Malaysia is seeking an experienced Market Risk Analyst to lead the analysis of exposures across trading and banking portfolios. You will drive risk measurement, provide independent challenge, and mentor a high‑performing team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related discipline.
At least 6 years of experience in Market Risk Management or related functions.
Strong understanding of financial markets, risk measurement methodologies including FRTB.
Experience with data analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI; programming in Python/SQL/VBA is advantageous.
Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead market risk analysis across trading and banking portfolios and identify key risk drivers.
Maintain and improve risk methodologies, valuation drivers, and reporting.
Lead the Market Risk Analysis team and coach junior staff.
Engage with Front Office, Treasury, and regulators on risk initiatives.
Support regulatory submissions and risk governance activities.
