Job summary

FULOSO is seeking a curious and motivated VFX Artist Intern to support the creation of visual effects for TV and Games projects. You will work with the VFX team on supervised shot tasks, tests, and technical support while learning how effects move from concept through final delivery.

This internship is designed for someone building professional experience. You are not expected to know every tool or complete final shots independently on day one.

Responsibilities

• Assist with VFX effects such as smoke, fire, water, dust, particles, debris, weather, magic, and other stylized or realistic elements
• Create reference-based tests and simple simulations under supervision
• Prepare scene files, caches, playblasts, previews, and basic render tests to support shot work
• Apply feedback from dailies and keep work organized with clear naming, versioning, and status updates
• Check effects for timing, scale, composition, continuity, and interaction with characters or environments
• Collaborate with animation, lighting, compositing, and pipeline teams to resolve basic production issues
• Document useful findings and share progress or blockers early with the team

What you will do

• Create reference-based tests and simple simulations under the direction of a Production Director or senior artist.
• Support shot work by preparing scene files, caches, playblasts, previews, and basic render tests.
• Apply feedback from dailies and keep work organized through clear naming, versioning, and status updates.
• Check effects for timing, scale, composition, continuity, and interaction with characters or environments.
• Work with animation, lighting, compositing, and pipeline teams to solve basic production issues.
• Document useful findings and share progress or blockers early with the team.

What we are looking for

• A student, recent graduate, or self-taught artist with a portfolio or demo reel showing 3D, VFX, motion, or technical-art work.
• Basic understanding of timing, movement, scale, composition, and visual storytelling.
• Hands-on experience with at least one relevant 3D or VFX application.
• Willingness to learn, test ideas, take feedback, and explain your creative or technical choices.
• Good file organization, attention to detail, and clear communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively and meet agreed deadlines with support from the team.
• Basic 3D workflow and scene navigation
• One DCC tool: Maya, Houdini, Blender, or similar
• Ability to present work through a reel or portfolio
• Interest in animated film or episodic production

• Deliver organized files that another artist can understand and continue.
