The School of Art PJ Oldtown in Petaling Jaya is seeking a part-time Visual Art Teacher to join the teaching team. You will conduct structured visual art classes for children and teenagers, teaching drawing, sketching, colouring and various art techniques according to the school's curriculum.

Responsibilities include guiding students, demonstrating techniques, monitoring progress, and maintaining records. Saturday and Sunday 9am–6pm, with opportunities for involvement in exhibitions and training.

Formación

• Diploma or Degree in Fine Art, Visual Art, Art & Design, Illustration or related field preferred.
• Strong drawing and sketching foundation essential.
• Patient and comfortable teaching children and teenagers.

Guide students according to their individual abilities and learning levels

Monitor students' progress and maintain teaching records

Prepare and organise classroom materials before and after lessons

Communicate professionally with students, parents and management

Participate in relevant school activities, exhibitions and training when required

Follow the school's established curriculum, teaching standards, SOPs and policies

Working Days/Hours

Saturday 9am - 6pm

Sunday 9am - 6pm

About you

Diploma or Degree in Fine Art, Visual Art, Art & Design, Illustration or a related field is preferred

Strong foundation in drawing and sketching is essential

Knowledge and practical skills in different art mediums such as pencil, colour pencil, soft pastel, watercolour and acrylic painting will be an advantage

Patient and comfortable teaching children and teenagers

Responsible, disciplined and punctual

Able to follow an established curriculum and teaching system

Good communication and classroom-management skills

Must be consistently available to work every Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Previous teaching experience is an advantage but not compulsory
