Job summary

The School of Art PJ Old Town (Left Brainers Studio) in PJ Old Town, Petaling Jaya, Selangor is seeking a passionate, skilled Fine Art Teacher to guide students across ages through our art programmes and build strong technical foundations and creativity.

The role requires a Fine Art degree, strong drawing skills, classroom setup and the ability to follow a structured syllabus while supporting student progress and participating in exhibitions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art – MANDATORY
Strong practical Fine Art skills and technical knowledge
Good understanding of drawing, composition, proportion, perspective and colour theory
Able to demonstrate art techniques confidently
Passionate about teaching children and teenagers
Patient, responsible and professional
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Able to follow an established syllabus and structured teaching programme
Able to manage students and maintain classroom discipline
Responsible, punctual and dependable
Willing to learn and follow the school's teaching methods

Responsibilities

Conduct structured Fine Art classes for children, teenagers and/or adults
Teach according to the school's established syllabus and teaching methods
Demonstrate drawing and painting techniques clearly to students
Provide individual guidance based on each student's progress and ability
Develop students' observational, drawing and technical art skills
Monitor and evaluate student progress
Provide constructive feedback and encouragement
Prepare and organise teaching materials before classes
Maintain an organised and professional classroom environment
Ensure students complete lessons and projects according to programme requirements
Communicate student progress or concerns to management when necessary
Participate in school exhibitions, events and special programmes when required
Follow the school's academic procedures, SOPs and teaching standards

The School of Art PJ Old Town (Left Brainers Studio) PJ Old Town, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

We are looking for a passionate, skilled and professionally trained Fine Art Teacher to join our teaching team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching students across different age groups and skill levels, guiding them through our structured art programmes while helping them develop strong technical foundations, creativity and artistic confidence.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATION

Candidates MUST possess a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art or a directly related Fine Art discipline from a recognised university or institution.

Degree qualification in Fine Art is compulsory for this position.

Applicants without the required Fine Art degree qualification will not be considered.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Fresh Fine Art graduates are encouraged to apply.

Previous teaching experience in an art school, enrichment centre or educational environment will be an added advantage.

PORTFOLIO REQUIREMENT

Applicants must provide a portfolio of their own original Fine Art works as part of the application/interview process.

The portfolio should demonstrate technical ability in areas such as drawing, sketching, portraiture, painting, perspective and other relevant Fine Art disciplines.

Basic Salary: RM2,000 – RM2,300 per month
