Job summary

Greatech Group is seeking a machine vision engineer to understand project requirements and propose end-to-end vision solutions. You will evaluate samples to specify optics, cameras, lighting, and software needs, then design, develop, and optimize vision systems for PC platforms.

The role involves installing and supporting systems at customer sites, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring project timelines. Bachelor-level degree required with 5–8 years in image processing preferred.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• 1. Understand project requirements, perform feasibility studies, and able to propose machine vision solutions to customer.
• 2. Perform image evaluation on customer's samples to determine and propose the hardware (optic, camera, lens, lighting) and software requirement for machine vision system.
• 3. Design and develop machine vision system based on project requirements with software programming language or logic based configuration by utilizing image processing library.
• 4. Perform software programming, UI design, software architecture design, and software performance optimization on PC based vision platform.
• 5. Responsible for installation and support on programming and fine tuning vision inspection systems at factory and customer site.
• 6. Accountable for project planning, delivery schedules and project realization project time estimation including customer site support and training.
• 7. Travelling to set-up & buy-off machine is necessary.
• 8. Must display initiative and ability to work in small multi-disciplinary teams including Customers, Project Managers and Project Team.
• 9. Able to lead the vision development/application team for engineering development.
• 10. Able to independently resolve complex projects, issues, challenges encountered.
• 11. Regularly leads important projects that require providing experienced project team members with instruction, guidance, and advice in all aspects of the project to ensure delivery of quality outcomes.
• 12. Operational role responsible for delivering results that have direct impact on the achievement of results within the job area and may also impact a wider operational area.
• 13. To comply to all requirements of ISO (inclusive of all standards approved by the Management) and to adhere to general safety practices, standard operating procedure, work instructions, policies and guidelines provided by the company.
• 14. Protect and retain documents and records under your control to assure that they are readily retrievable.
• 15. Other duties and assignments as instructed by superiors from time to time.

Requirements:

• 1.Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering (Electrical/Electronic)/Engineering (Mechatronic) or equivalent years of related experience.
• 2.Preferably 5-8 years of working experience in image processing/vision application field is required.
