Job summary

Confidential, a leading digital asset platform, seeks a business development professional to launch and scale its VIP channel in Asia. You will target high-net-worth individuals and professional traders, guiding them from first contact to active trading.

You’ll build a bespoke onboarding playbook, work directly with traders on leverage, funding rates and wealth products, and eventually hand over to the RM team as your client book grows.

Qualifications

• Proven success landing high-value clients through outreach at a crypto exchange or wealth firm.
• Established network within Chinese-speaking trader communities to convert prospects quickly.
• Strong trading knowledge to discuss leverage, funding rates and hedging with professionals.

Responsibilities

• Open VIP acquisition channel from scratch via target lists, referrals, trading communities and partnerships.
• Bring in high-net-worth individuals and professional traders from first contact to account opening and active trading.
• Understand prospect trading and propose setups with spot, futures, RWA and wealth products where relevant.
• Personally cover new VIPs for their first 3–6 months before transitioning them to the RM team.
• Carry clear targets: onboarded VIPs, assets, trading volume and fee revenue; refine approach based on conversions.

Why this role

We’re adding our first dedicated BD hire to the VIP team, a pioneer seat where you’ll help define how the function runs. Your focus is bringing high-net-worth individuals and professional traders onto the platform and laying the groundwork for long relationships with them. There’s a lot of untapped ground and no set playbook. Within 12 to 24 months, you’ll have written that playbook, built a client book that began with you, and earned in direct proportion to the business you bring in.

What you’ll do

• Open our VIP acquisition channel from scratch through target lists, referrals, trading communities and partnerships
• Bring in high-net-worth individuals and professional traders, guiding each from first contact to account opening, first deposit and active trading
• Understand how each prospect trades and put forward a setup that wins their volume, led by spot and futures, adding RWA and wealth products where relevant
• Personally cover new VIPs for their first three to six months before transitioning them to our RM team with the relationship in good shape
• Carry clear targets: funded VIPs onboarded, assets brought in, trading volume and fee revenue, and refine your approach based on what converts

What you’ll bring

• Proven success landing high-value clients through your own outreach at a crypto exchange, brokerage or wealth firm, backed by deposit, volume or revenue results
• An established network within Chinese-speaking trader, investor or trading communities that you can start converting in your first month
• Strong trading knowledge, enough to discuss leverage, funding rates and hedging with professional traders and win their confidence on product fit
• Native Chinese and fluent English, with a preference for owning a client personally from first contact through to consistent trading
