Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Malaysia seeks an STS Supplier Onboarding and Administration Specialist within the Global Business Solutions (GBS) organization.

You will manage end-to-end supplier onboarding, processing of purchase orders, supplier invoices and payments, and collaborate with IT, Procurement, Finance and VMD teams. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance, 3+ years in a multinational finance environment, and strong English with Vietnamese proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
• 3+ years experience in a finance or accounting department of a multinational company preferred and 2 years in current position.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience with a customer focus and project delivery.
• Business process knowledge with project implementation skills a plus.
• Apex Supplier Portal experience is a plus.
• Business English and Vietnamese (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the single point of contact for supplier onboarding for all stakeholders, both internal and external (suppliers).
• Own end-to-end supplier onboarding for assigned cases with governance and data changes support.
• Proactive follow-up with suppliers who have not finalized their registration.
• Prevent fraud by acting as a gatekeeper for the organization.
• Execute onboarding per standard support model and tools.
• Apply internal controls and safeguard fraud prevention processes.
• Evaluate cases, identify issues, and propose solutions to minimize escalations.
• Resolve complex supplier-related issues and manage escalations.
• Participate in training for new joiners and provide knowledge refreshers.
