Job summary

Jora Malaysia is looking for an experienced Video Editor & Motion Graphics Designer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate has strong editing skills, a good creative eye and the ability to bring ideas to life through video editing, motion graphics and visual storytelling.

You will work across corporate videos, event highlights, TVCs, digital billboards and social media content, and collaborate with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Producers and Designers to turn creative direction into

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in video editing and motion graphics.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects.
• Strong understanding of video editing and visual storytelling.
• Good understanding of motion graphics and animation principles.
• Strong eye for timing, pacing, typography and visual hierarchy.
• Able to understand briefs, scripts and storyboards and translate into content.
• Able to work independently while collaborating with the team in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Open to feedback and revisions.

Responsibilities

• Edit and produce high-quality video content from raw footage to final delivery.
• Work on corporate videos, event highlights, TVCs, digital campaigns, social media and branded content.
• Create engaging edits with strong storytelling, pacing and visual flow.
• Develop motion graphics and animations using Adobe After Effects.
• Create animated typography, titles, lower thirds, transitions, infographics and visual treatments.
• Translate briefs, scripts and storyboards into compelling content.
• Work closely with the creative team to develop and execute visual concepts.
• Perform basic colour correction and grading for a polished look.
• Handle basic audio editing, music editing and sound effects.
• Prepare content for different platforms and aspect ratios, including digital billboards.
• Organise and manage footage, project files, proxies, graphics and assets efficiently.
• Handle revisions and feedback while maintaining the creative direction.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

The ideal candidate is someone with strong editing skills, a good creative eye and the ability to bring ideas to life through video editing, motion graphics and visual storytelling.

You will work across a variety of creative projects including corporate videos, event highlights, TVCs, digital billboards, social media content and infographic videos.

You will work closely with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Producers and Designers to turn creative direction into polished and engaging visual content.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Edit and produce high-quality video content from raw footage to fi nal delivery.


• Work on a variety of projects including corporate videos, event highlights, TVCs, digital campaigns, social media and branded content.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 3+ years of professional experience in video editing and motion graphics is preferred.


• Strong profi ciency in Adobe Premiere Pro.


• Strong profi ciency in Adobe After Effects.


• Strong understanding of video editing and visual storytelling.


• Good understanding of motion graphics and animation principles.


• Strong creative eye with good attention to detail.


• Good sense of timing, pacing, composition, typography and visual hierarchy.


• Able to understand and interpret creative briefs, scripts and storyboards.


• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with the creative team.


• Comfortable working in a fast-paced creative environment.


• Able to manage multiple projects and deliver quality work within deadlines.


• Open to feedback and able to translate creative direction into effective revisions.

VIDEOGRAPHY — AN ADDED ADVANTAGE

• While the core of this role focuses on video editing and motion graphics, experience in videography will be an added advantage.


• Comfortable assisting with video shoots when required.


• Able to operate professional cameras and understand basic camera settings.


• Good understanding of framing, composition, lighting and camera movement.


• Experience shooting corporate videos, events, commercials or digital content is a plus.


• Able to capture footage with the editing and fi nal output in mind.

GOOD TO HAVE

• Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator


• Basic colour grading knowledge


• Basic compositing or visual effects


• Cinema 4D / Blender or other 3D software


• Experience working with LED screens and digital billboards


• Understanding of video codecs, resolutions, frame rates and delivery specifi cations


• Experience working in an agency, production house or creative studio

Your portfolio should ideally demonstrate experience in:

Experience:

• profesional experience in video editing and motion: 3 years (Preferred)
