Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Videographer cum Editor who is creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about visual storytelling. You will shoot and edit video content for social media across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, and handle colour grading, sound design, and final delivery.

You’ll work on campaigns, events, product shoots, and KOL content, with on-site shoots and travel as needed. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, with a degree in film/media a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Film, Multimedia, Digital Media, Creative Media, Mass Communication, or related fields is a plus.
• Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Knowledge of Adobe After Effects is an advantage.
• Good understanding of camera operation, lighting, composition, and audio.
• Strong sense of visual storytelling and creativity.
• Good understanding of social media content and current video trends.
• Experience with photography is an advantage.
• Comfortable working on-site and travelling for shoots or events when required.
• Familiarity with AI tools for content creation and editing is an advantage.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, shoot, and edit engaging video content for social media and digital campaigns.
• Handle end-to-end video production from shooting to final editing.
• Create short-form content such as Reels, TikTok, Stories, and social media videos.
• Work with the creative and marketing team to develop video concepts, storyboards, and shot lists.
• Film products, people, events, lifestyle content, interviews, and KOL/influencer content.
• Edit videos with strong pacing, storytelling, transitions, music, sound effects, subtitles, and visual effects.
• Perform basic colour grading and sound editing.
• Adapt video content according to different platforms and formats.
• Assist with on-site productions, events, and content shoots.
• Manage and organise video footage and project files properly.
• Keep up with the latest TikTok, Instagram Reels, and social media video trends.
• Work closely with designers, marketers, KOLs, and clients to deliver content according to brief and timeline.
• Use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, AI video tools, and other creative AI platforms to improve ideation and production.

You will be responsible for shooting and editing video content for our clients across social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other digital channels.

From coming up with creative shots to filming, editing, colour grading, sound design, and delivering the final video, you will be involved throughout the production process.
