Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency with professional video editing software such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of video production workflows including colour grading, audio mixing, and VFX.
• Excellent eye for detail and ability to maintain visual consistency and technical accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Edit video content for commercials, promos, social media, and documentary-style pieces.
• Collaborate with directors, producers, and creative teams to meet project briefs and client requirements.
• Perform colour correction, audio synchronisation, and visual effects to enhance final content.
• Manage and organise project files, ensuring efficient workflow and version control.
• Trim, arrange and sequence footage to create engaging narratives with proper pacing.
• Incorporate graphics, titles, transitions and other visual elements to strengthen storytelling.
• Work within deadlines while maintaining high quality and attention to detail.
• Stay updated with industry trends and editing software capabilities.
• Communicate progress and feedback with team members and stakeholders.

We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join Break Bo Media Sdn Bhd on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the heart of the advertising, arts and media industry, based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. As a Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in bringing creative visions to life, transforming raw footage into compelling visual content that engages and captivates audiences. Your work will be fundamental to our production pipeline, directly supporting the creative direction and strategic objectives of our clients and internal projects.

Key responsibilities

• Edit video content for a variety of media formats including commercials, promotional videos, social media content, and documentary-style pieces
• Collaborate with directors, producers, and creative teams to understand project briefs and deliver content that aligns with creative vision and client requirements
• Perform colour correction, audio synchronisation, and visual effects work to enhance the overall quality of final content
• Manage and organise project files, ensuring efficient workflow and version control throughout the post-production process
• Trim, arrange and sequence raw footage to create engaging narratives with appropriate pacing and rhythm
• Incorporate graphics, titles, transitions and other visual elements to enhance storytelling and maintain visual consistency
• Work within project deadlines whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and attention to detail
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies and evolving editing software capabilities
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address feedback

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your editing skills across various content types and styles
• Proficiency with professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar industry-standard tools
• Strong understanding of video production workflows, including colour grading, audio mixing, and visual effects principles
• Excellent eye for detail, with the ability to maintain visual consistency and ensure technical accuracy in all deliverables
• Creative thinking and the ability to suggest innovative editing techniques and storytelling approaches
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well within a creative team environment
• Knowledge of different video formats, codecs, and export specifications for various platforms and media channels
• Familiarity with motion graphics and animation software (such as After Effects) is advantageous
• Experience in advertising, broadcast or digital media production is highly valued
