Job summary

Break Bo Media Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Video Editor to join on a full-time basis in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. You will transform raw footage into compelling content, collaborating with directors and creative teams to deliver projects across commercials, social media, and documentary formats.

The role requires strong editing skills, proficiency in Premiere Pro/Final Cut/DaVinci Resolve and a solid understanding of colour grading, audio mixing, and visual effects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of video workflows, colour grading, and audio mixing.
• Excellent eye for detail and consistency in deliverables.
• Creative thinking with storytelling and editing techniques.
• Strong organisational and time management skills to manage multiple projects.

About the role

We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join Break Bo Media Sdn Bhd on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the heart of the advertising, arts and media industry, based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. As a Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in bringing creative visions to life, transforming raw footage into compelling visual content that engages and captivates audiences. Your work will be fundamental to our production pipeline, directly supporting the creative direction and strategic objectives of our clients and internal projects.

Key responsibilities

Edit video content for a variety of media formats including commercials, promotional videos, social media content, and documentary-style pieces

Collaborate with directors, producers, and creative teams to understand project briefs and deliver content that aligns with creative vision and client requirements

Perform colour correction, audio synchronisation, and visual effects work to enhance the overall quality of final content

Manage and organise project files, ensuring efficient workflow and version control throughout the post-production process

Trim, arrange and sequence raw footage to create engaging narratives with appropriate pacing and rhythm

Incorporate graphics, titles, transitions and other visual elements to enhance storytelling and maintain visual consistency

Work within project deadlines whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and attention to detail

Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies and evolving editing software capabilities

Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address feedback

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your editing skills across various content types and styles

Proficiency with professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar industry-standard tools

Strong understanding of video production workflows, including colour grading, audio mixing, and visual effects principles

Excellent eye for detail, with the ability to maintain visual consistency and ensure technical accuracy in all deliverables

Creative thinking and the ability to suggest innovative editing techniques and storytelling approaches

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines

Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well within a creative team environment

Knowledge of different video formats, codecs, and export specifications for various platforms and media channels

Familiarity with motion graphics and animation software (such as After Effects) is advantageous

Experience in advertising, broadcast or digital media production is highly valued
