About the role

V Fifth Group Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Video Editor (Mandarin Speaking) to join our creative team. This is a full-time position based in Kuala Lumpur. As a Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw footage into compelling visual content that resonates with our diverse audiences. Your expertise in video editing, combined with your fluency in Mandarin, will be essential in producing high-quality content for our multimedia projects. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of creative projects whilst collaborating with a dynamic team of content creators, producers, and marketing professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Edit and assemble raw video footage into polished, engaging final products for various platforms and audiences
• Collaborate with producers, directors, and content creators to understand project requirements and deliver content that meets creative briefs
• Incorporate graphics, music, sound effects, and colour correction to enhance video quality and visual impact
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment
• Utilise industry-standard video editing software and tools to create professional-grade content
• Communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking team members and stakeholders to ensure content alignment with project objectives
• Stay updated with current video trends, editing techniques, and platform-specific requirements
• Provide constructive feedback and support to junior team members when required

What we're looking for

• Fluency in Mandarin (both written and spoken) is essential for this role
• Proven experience of at least 2-3 years working as a video editor in a professional or creative environment
• Expert proficiency in industry-standard video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar platforms
• Strong understanding of video composition, colour grading, audio synchronisation, and visual effects
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce work of consistently high quality
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a creative team
• Creative mindset with the ability to interpret creative briefs and contribute innovative ideas to projects
• Familiarity with various video formats, codecs, and platform specifications (social media, broadcast, web, etc.)
• Experience working on diverse content types such as corporate videos, promotional content, social media videos, or documentaries is advantageous
