Job summary

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of experience as a UI Designer.
• Strong portfolio showing end-to-end product design for web or platform products.
• Experience designing complex workflows (fintech, SaaS, dashboards).
• Proficiency in Figma (or similar).
• Solid understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and usability testing.
• Ability to articulate design decisions to diverse stakeholders.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is required for collaboration with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and cross-regional teams.

We are looking for a passionate UI Designer to create intuitive, visually engaging, and consistent digital experiences across our web and mobile products. You will work closely with UX Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to transform user requirements into polished interfaces that align with our design system and product vision.

The ideal candidate has a strong eye for visual design, understands modern design principles, and enjoys solving complex problems through thoughtful interface design.

Key Responsibilities

User Interface Design

• Own the end-to-end design process across MetaComp's platforms (merchant portals applications, internal tools, partner dashboards).
• Translate complex payment, compliance, and operational workflows into clear, intuitive user journeys.
• Produce responsive layouts for multiple screen sizes and devices.
• Create interaction states, empty states, error states, loading states, and edge-case scenarios.
• Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs using Figma or equivalent tools.
• Work closely with UX Designers to ensure visual consistency throughout the user journey.
• Partner with Product Managers to understand business goals and product requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
• Participate in design critiques and cross-functional reviews.

Design Documentation

• Maintain organized Figma files and component libraries.
• Document design decisions and interaction behaviours.

Quality Assurance

• Review implemented interfaces to ensure pixel-perfect execution.
• Identify UI inconsistencies and recommend improvements.
• Help maintain a high visual quality standard across all products.

Requirements

Must-Have

• 2-5+ years of experience as a UI Designer.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design for web or platform products.
• Experience designing complex workflows (e.g. fintech, SaaS, enterprise, dashboards, internal tools).
• Proficiency in Figma (or similar design tools).
• Strong understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and usability testing.
• Ability to clearly articulate design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) is required for effective collaboration with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and cross-regional teams.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in fintech, payments, crypto, or regulated industries.
• Familiarity with design systems and component-based design.
• Basic understanding of front-end constraints (HTML/CSS concepts).
• Experience working in startup or scale-up environments.
