MetaComp Pte Ltd is a leading Singapore-based digital payment solution provider, licensed and regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) as a Major Payment Institution, to provide Digital Payment Token Services and Cross-border Payment Transfers. Operating under a P2B2C (platform-to-business, partners-to-clients) model, MetaComp provides its clients with an integrated end-to-end suite of services, empowering them to confidently enter the digital asset market with much-needed safety, security, and compliance assurance. Together with its parent company, Metaverse Green Exchange Pte. Ltd. (a MAS-licensed CMS holder permitted to carry out, inter alia, brokerage and custody services), MetaComp introduces its suite of services through CAMP (Client Assets Management Platform) which allow businesses to develop and scale their digital asset offerings through various products and/or services such as over-the-counter transactions, fiat payments, digital asset custody and prime brokerage.

About the Role

MetaComp is looking for a UI/UX Designer to join our growing Product team in Malaysia.

You will be responsible for designing intuitive, user-friendly and visually engaging digital experiences across MetaComp's products and platforms. You will work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Business, Operations and other stakeholders to turn business and user requirements into effective product experiences.

We are looking for a designer who is comfortable working across the full design process — from user research and wireframing to prototyping, UI design, usability testing and design handoff.

Key Responsibilities

1. UX & Product Design

• Design intuitive and user-friendly experiences across MetaComp's digital products.
• Translate product requirements and business objectives into clear user experiences.
• Develop user flows, information architecture, wireframes and interactive prototypes.
• Identify usability issues and recommend practical design improvements.
• Consider both user needs and business requirements when making design decisions.

2. UI Design

• Create clean, modern and consistent user interfaces across web and digital platforms.
• Develop high-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes.
• Maintain consistency in visual design, typography, spacing, components and interaction patterns.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of MetaComp's design system.
• Ensure designs are responsive and provide a consistent experience across different screen sizes and devices.

3. User Research & Usability Testing

• Conduct user research to understand customer needs, behaviours and pain points.
• Analyse user feedback and product data to identify areas for improvement.
• Create prototypes and conduct usability testing where appropriate.
• Continuously improve products based on user feedback and business requirements.

4. Collaboration with Product & Engineering

• Work closely with Product Managers to understand requirements and define product solutions.
• Collaborate with Engineers throughout the development lifecycle.
• Provide clear design specifications and handoff materials.
• Work with Engineering teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
• Review developed features and identify UI/UX discrepancies before and after launch.
• Participate in product discussions, design reviews and sprint planning.

5. Design System & Standards

• Contribute to and maintain reusable UI components and design patterns.
• Ensure design decisions align with MetaComp's overall brand and product experience.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve design consistency and scalability.

6. Product Improvement

• Review existing products and identify opportunities to improve usability, accessibility and overall customer experience.
• Work with Product and Business teams to prioritise UX improvements.
• Use qualitative and quantitative insights to support design decisions.
• Stay updated on emerging UI/UX trends, design methodologies and fintech product experiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in UI/UX Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant UI/UX or Product Design experience.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating UI/UX and product design work.
• Strong understanding of user-centred design principles.
• Proficiency in Figma or similar design tools.
• Experience creating:
• Wireframes
• Prototypes
• High-fidelity UI designs
• Design specifications
• Good understanding of responsive design and modern web/mobile design principles.
• Strong visual design and attention to detail.
• Good understanding of usability and interaction design.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to explain and defend design decisions using user needs, data and business objectives.

Good to Have

• Experience working in fintech, payments, banking, e-commerce, SaaS or other technology companies.
• Experience designing financial products or complex transactional workflows.
• Experience working with design systems.
• Experience conducting usability testing and user research.
• Familiarity with Agile / Scrum product development.
• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and technical constraints.
• Experience working with Jira, Confluence or similar product development tools.
• Experience working with regional or international product teams.
