Qualifications

• Proven experience as a User Interface Artist in game development.
• Experience on at least one shipped or live game title, ideally on mobile.
• Strong portfolio showing UI art skills (menus, HUDs, icons, buttons, layouts).
• Good understanding of mobile UI constraints: readability, resolution, aspect ratios, touch interaction, asset optimisation.
• Strong visual design: composition, color, typography, iconography, attention to detail.
• Ability to create UI assets from wireframes or briefs to production-ready art.
• Familiarity with how UI assets are implemented in game engines or real-time environments.

Responsibilities

• Concept and design UI and HUD layouts and assets, including menus, icons, buttons, frames, panels, and other interface elements, from wireframes to final in-engine implementation.
• Develop clear and visually appealing UI solutions that simplify complex design challenges.
• Ensure UI is intuitive, readable, and faithful to art direction.
• Maintain a consistent visual aesthetic across all UI assets and screens.
• Collaborate with Lead Artist, Designers, Engineers, and Technical Artists to produce well-optimised assets.
• Create wireframes, mock-ups, user flows, and visual prototypes with Designers to communicate interaction ideas.
• Support the creation and layout of animated UI elements and 3D UI elements as required.
• Review existing UI layouts and propose visual and usability improvements.
• Articulate design decisions and respond constructively to feedback.
• Engage in wider design process and help deliver the best UI experience.
• Participate in task planning, estimation, and scheduling with Lead Artist and Production Team.
