Social Multiway Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur invites a UI/UX Designer specializing in mobile apps and gamification to join the Design & Architecture team. You will craft intuitive, visually compelling experiences for mobile products, grounding decisions in user research and accessibility.

You will collaborate with product managers and developers to establish design systems and prototypes, iterate from wireframes to high-fidelity mockups, and stay current with mobile design trends and gamification

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional UI/UX design experience for mobile apps.
• Portfolio with mobile app designs and gamification elements.
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design user interfaces and experiences for mobile apps across iOS and Android.
• Develop and implement gamification strategies to boost engagement and retention.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and user interviews to inform design decisions.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.

About the role

Social Multiway Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented UI/UX Designer specialising in Mobile Apps and Gamification to join our dynamic Design & Architecture team. This is a full-time position based in Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Kuala Lumpur. In this role, you will be responsible for creating intuitive, engaging, and visually compelling user experiences for mobile applications that incorporate gamification elements to drive user engagement and retention. You will play a crucial part in shaping how users interact with our digital products, ensuring that every design decision is grounded in user research, accessibility best practices, and business objectives.

What you'll be doing

• Designing user interfaces and user experiences for mobile applications, with a focus on creating seamless, intuitive interactions across iOS and Android platforms
• Developing and implementing gamification strategies within mobile apps to enhance user engagement, motivation, and retention
• Conducting user research, usability testing, and user interviews to gather insights that inform design decisions and validate design concepts
• Creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
• Collaborating closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into compelling design solutions
• Establishing and maintaining design systems, component libraries, and design guidelines to ensure consistency across digital products
• Iterating on designs based on user feedback, analytics data, and performance metrics to continuously improve user experiences
• Staying updated with the latest trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in mobile design and gamification
• Presenting design work to stakeholders and articulating design decisions with clear reasoning and supporting evidence

What we're looking for

• 2+ years of professional experience as a UI/UX Designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in mobile app design
• Proven experience designing gamification elements within mobile applications, such as reward systems, achievement mechanics, leaderboards, or progression systems
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or equivalent prototyping software
• Strong understanding of mobile design principles, interaction design, and responsive design patterns for both iOS and Android platforms
• Experience with user research methodologies, including user interviews, usability testing, and analytics interpretation
• Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for typography, colour theory, and layout composition
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and experience designing inclusive digital experiences
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate design rationale to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
• Problem-solving orientation with a user-centred approach to design challenges
• Preferred: Experience with motion design, micro-interactions, or animation tools such as After Effects or Principle
• Preferred: Familiarity with design thinking methodologies and Agile development processes
• Preferred: Understanding of backend systems and technical constraints that influence mobile app design
