Job summary

SD Plus Education is seeking passionate part-time tutors to support preschool to secondary students under the Malaysian national curriculum. Tutoring may be in-person in Kuching or online, including one-to-one and small groups. Applicants must reside in Kuching and have relevant teaching credentials.

Job description

SD Plus Education is seeking passionate and experienced part-time Tutors to support preschool, primary, and secondary students following the Malaysian national curriculum.

Lessons may include in-person classes in Kuching, online lessons, one-to-one tutoring, and small-group classes. Applicants must reside in Kuching.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging lessons suited to students’ ages, subjects, and learning needs.

Prepare lessons and learning activities aligned with the Malaysian national curriculum.

Identify areas where students need support and adapt teaching methods accordingly.

Provide personalised guidance to improve students’ understanding and academic performance.

Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.

Collaborate with fellow educators to improve teaching strategies and learning resources.

Maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment that builds student confidence.

Requirements

Previous teaching or tutoring experience.

A relevant teaching qualification or degree in a related field.

Strong knowledge of the subjects and levels you wish to teach.

The ability to explain concepts clearly and make lessons engaging.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience, creativity, and a passion for helping students learn.

Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.

The ability to teach multiple subjects is an added advantage.

Must reside in Kuching.
