We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our team in Kuala Lumpur on a fixed‑term contract.

Mission
Perform drafting and PDMS or E3D modelling for onshore/offshore projects, supporting engineering operations.
Main Accountabilities
- Apply design codes and standards (ASME, ASHRAE, SMACNA, etc.) and interpret requirements to meet project needs.
- Resolve problems and troubleshoot based on code and standard interpretation.
- Understand code limits and apply them accurately and effectively.
- Interpret client specifications (PTS, DEP, GS, IP, etc.) and deliver services that meet contract requirements.
- Perform duct sizing independently.
- Calculate air balancing.
Software Knowledge
- Operate AutoCAD 2017 and above.
- Use AVEVA PDMS or E3D Modelling.
- Use MicroStation.
- Use SP3D Modelling.
Job Responsibilities
- Model piping, HVAC, and equipment in AVEVA PDMS and SP3D.
- Prepare drawings and documents for HVAC Flow Diagrams, D&ID, and equipment layout using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
- Generate quantity reports with AVEVA PDMS.
- Assist with coordination of 3D model activities and resolve clashes with other disciplines.
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and maintain design procedures and standards.
- Interface with other disciplines and design partners for model and space control.
- Perform coordination review of specifications and documents prepared by others.
Fabrication Knowledge
- Understand fabrication processes.
Qualifications
The candidate must hold a recognised diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with at least 4 years of engineering design experience in HVAC or static equipment.
