Job summary

Technip Energies in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, seeks an Architectural Designer to independently produce 3D BIM models using Autodesk Revit, prepare 2D drawings, schedules, and MTO while coordinating with other disciplines on offshore Living Quarter and Technical Building projects.

The candidate will ensure model accuracy, compliance with design codes, and support throughout design development to as-built stages, contributing to continuous BIM improvements.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Architecture or related discipline.
• 5–7 years in architectural design and project execution.
• Mandatory experience with Autodesk Revit (BIM).
• Strong drafting, detailing and construction documentation skills.
• Knowledge of BIM standards, coordination processes and model management.
• Familiarity with building codes and international design standards.
• Ability to derive quantity take-offs and schedules from BIM models.
• Experience with Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud, Enscape, SketchUp.

About The Job

Independently produce Architectural 3D BIM models using Autodesk Revit, 2D drawings, schedule, MTO, detailing complying/considering installation & fabrication aspect as well as complying to design code requirement of offshore Living Quarter and Technical Building project.

• Development of architectural BIM models using Autodesk Revit.
• Coordination of architectural models with structural, mechanical, electrical and other disciplines.
• Production of details drawings, schedules and quantity take-offs from the BIM model.
• Ensuring model accuracy, project compliance and clash-free design deliverables.

Main Accountabilities

• Ensure compliance with company procedures, project requirements, building codes, regulations and recognized industry standards related to architectural design.
• Develop and maintain 3D BIM models using Autodesk Revit throughout project execution.
• Prepare and check Living Quarter and Technical Building architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules and BIM deliverables in accordance with project requirements and schedules.
• Generate quantity take-offs, room schedules, door and window schedules, and other project-related reports from Revit models.
• Coordinate architectural designs with structural, piping, mechanical, electrical and other disciplines.
• Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews and clash detection exercises.
• Ensure architectural deliverables are effective, efficient and fit for purpose.
• Provide support during design development, detailed design, procurement, construction and as-built stages.
• Ensure quality and consistency of BIM modelling and project documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of BIM standards, workflows and best practices.

About you:

Must have:

• Technical Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Building Design or related discipline.
• Minimum 5-7 years' experience in architectural design and project execution.
• Mandatory working experience in Autodesk Revit (BIM) software.
• Strong knowledge of architectural drafting, detailing and construction documentation.
• Knowledge of BIM standards, coordination processes and model management.
• Familiarity with building codes, authority requirements and international design standards.
• Ability to prepare quantity take-offs and schedules from BIM models.
• Experience with Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud, Enscape, SketchUp, or similar software.
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles and green building requirements.
• Experience in multidisciplinary BIM coordination and clash detection.
• Understanding of construction methods, site coordination and as-built documentation.
