Job summary

Technip Energies in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is seeking a Senior Naval Architect to lead architectural design activities for offshore facilities, ensuring compliance with SOLAS/IMO/NORSOK codes, budget, and schedule.

You will develop architectural layouts, basis of design, specifications and CAD drawings, coordinate with engineers and designers, mentor drafters, and ensure quality and HSE objectives across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and at least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong command of English (verbal & writing).
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; familiarity with other modelling software.
• Experience in oil and gas architectural design.

Responsibilities

• Manage architectural design and ensure project complies with Client’s requirements and Codes and Standards while maintaining budget and schedule.
• Develop architectural design layouts, basis of design, specifications and CAD drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers and designers across disciplines to ensure deliverables.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to drafters and designers.
• Prepare, update and check calculations for architectural design and other specifications on schedule and within budget.
• Ensure all architectural design and drawings meet contractual technical specifications, quality and HSE objectives.
• Manage multiple deadlines and work with minimal supervision.

About The Job

• Manage architectural design and ensure the project complies with Client’s requirements and Codes and Standards while maintaining budget and schedule.

Main Accountabilities

The candidate should have thorough knowledge and experience in performing architectural design in compliance with applicable codes and regulations. The candidate will work with Engineers and Designers both within and outside the discipline as needed to ensure deliverables are delivered.

• Able to perform and assist various projects undertaken by the Company.
• Able to perform and develop Architectural design layouts, basis of design, specifications and CAD drawings.
• Perform any other tasks delegated by the Lead Engineer/ Project Lead from time to time.
• Prepare, update and check calculations for architectural design and other specifications on schedule and within the allocated manhour/budget.
• Well versed in SOLAS / IMO/ NORSOK or any related rules and regulations with regards to the offshore facility architectural design.
• Excellent in time management, interfaces and coordination skills with other discipline specialist engineers and possibly project support functions such as procurement and planning.
• Ensure all architectural design and drawings meet contractual technical specifications, quality and HSE objectives of the project.
• Able to manage multiple deadlines and able to work with under minimum supervision.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to drafter and designer.

Experience in designing and developing industrial building especially in oil & gas onshore plant and refinery area would be an advantage

About you:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Good command in English (verbal & writing)
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software. Familiar with other modelling software is an advantage.
• Good experience in oil and gas architectural design
