Tamura Electronics in Malaysia is seeking a Transformer Design Engineer (Electrical Power) to investigate transformer issues, ensure compliance with specs, and plan sample deliveries. The role involves costing, testing, and coordinating engineering and sampling teams, with significant customer interaction and material sourcing responsibilities.
The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Power with 2–3 years of industry experience, is proficient with computers, and can manage multiple tasks

Investigate and take corrective action on overcoming transformers technical problems
Ensure technical and specification or standard for transformers are complied with.
Plan the scheduling of transformers sample and delivery confirmation.
Prepare and review factory cost.
Transformers testing.
Plan, direct and coordinate the work of engineering and sampling members
Prepare training programs.
Supporting to Engineering Managers
Making Engineering costing for new inquiry
Direct customer discussion or visiting for technical matter.
Sourcing the new materials
Supporting the production line for 1st mass production lot run
Responsible for sample making and other things that related to sample development
Responsible for old part no. that need Engineering to follow up in production line
Design review
Action on ROSAF
Prepare and review the technical drawing and approval
Window for Japan drawing
Filing related document
Requirements:
Degree in Electrical (Power)
2-3 years experience in Electrical Power Industry
Experience in transformer background is an added advantage
Computer proficiency
Willing to learn and explore
Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, customers or client
Proactive, self-motivated and able to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.
