Job summary

Henikwon Corporation Sdn Bhd is seeking a capable engineer for R&D-driven product development in power systems. You will design, analyze, and document electrical/mechanical components for busway and related equipment.

The role requires CAD expertise, hands-on R&D experience, and knowledge of IEC standards. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and external labs will be routine.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master degree requirements as stated in HTML.
• Advanced proficiency in CAD tools AutoCAD and SolidWorks SheetMetal.
• Hands-on R&D experience in busway, switchgear or transformers.
• Knowledge of LV/MV IEC standards and type testing.
• Understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Conceive and develop R&D projects aligned with market needs and product evolution.
• Manage complete documentation: BOMs, models, drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Perform design calculations and simulations for busbar systems (cross section, fault current, voltage drop).
• Lead design reviews and ECN management across teams.
• Validate products and coordinate third-party testing per IEC/UL/JIS/DNV.
• Prepare technical collateral including brochures and installation manuals.
• Support marketing with technical comparisons and tender documents.
• Engage with consultants, contractors, end users to resolve technical queries.

• Conceive & develop R&D projects with respect to market requirements: Product evolution and new product development.
• Responsible for complete documentation i.e master BOMs, models, detail drawings, fabrication drawings and production worksheet templates, schematics and wiring diagram etc.
• carry out detail design, calculation (Bus bar cross sections, fault current, voltage drop, Skin effect ) and stress and thermal simulations for active & passive parts in busduct system.
• Conduct design reviews with cross-functional team and manage Engineering change notes( ECN) management for all technical collaterals.
• Carry out product validation and testing & approvals from third party laboratories & agencies as per the latest standards: IEC, UL,JIS,DNV,etc.
• Responsible for preparing technical collaterals including content for technical brochure, installation manuals, internal and external test documents.
• Support marketing team to prepare technical comparisons, calculations and vet tender technical documents as required.
• Participate in technical discussions with consultants, contractors end users or site engineers to resolve technical queries.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Electric or Mechanical Engineering. Masters in Power System engineering preferred.
• Advance proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD and solid works sheetmetal.
• Solid hands-on work experience in R&D for busway (preferred),switchgear or transformers.
• Good knowledge of relevant LV/MV IEC standards and experience in type testing.
• Good knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
