Job summary

Exentec Facility Services is seeking a Trainer to support the implementation and deployment of globally aligned training programs across Southeast Asia, including Malaysia and Singapore. You will deliver training, coach site leaders, and help embed global standards and continuous improvement across facilities.

Reporting to the Global Training Manager, you will coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure adoption and sustained performance through standardized content and assessment practices.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate’s degree in engineering, Technical Operations, Facilities Management or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, high-tech manufacturing or critical facility environments.
• Experience delivering technical, operational, safety or workforce development training.
• Experience coaching, mentoring or assessing technical personnel.
• Working knowledge of competency management, certification processes and adult-learning principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and learning management systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led training, workshops, onboarding sessions, certification events and practical assessments.
• Support rollout of globally developed training frameworks, curricula, certification pathways and learning materials.
• Promote operational excellence and standardized work through training and field coaching.
• Conduct knowledge checks, practical evaluations, skills assessments and certification activities.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, EHS, Quality, HR and SMEs to achieve workforce capability objectives.

The Trainer is responsible for supporting the implementation and deployment of Exentec Facility Services' globally aligned and standardized training and certification program across Southeast Asia. Reporting to the Global Training Manager, the role ensures that technical and operational employees receive high-quality, consistent training that strengthens competency, supports operational excellence and promotes standardized work practices. The Trainer delivers training, coaches site leaders and subject matter experts, supports competency and certification activities, and helps embed global standards, best practices and continuous improvement initiatives. The position serves as the operational link between global training strategy and local execution, ensuring that programs are effectively implemented, adopted and sustained across sites in Malaysia, Singapore and the wider region.

Explore Your Tasks And Responsibilities

Training Delivery & Facilitation

• Deliver instructor-led training, workshops, onboarding sessions, certification events and practical assessments.
• Facilitate technical, operational, safety, quality and operational excellence training modules.
• Use effective adult-learning techniques to engage participants and promote practical application.
• Conduct train-the-trainer sessions to build sustainable local delivery capability.

Deployment Of Global Training Programmes

• Support the rollout of globally developed training frameworks, curricula, certification pathways and learning materials.
• Coordinate deployment activities across sites in Malaysia, Singapore and other assigned locations.
• Ensure consistent use of approved content, delivery methods and assessment standards.
• Provide implementation feedback to the Global Training Manager and support continuous improvement of learning content.

Operational Excellence & Standardisation

• Promote operational excellence, standardised work and continuous improvement principles through training and field coaching.
• Support implementation of approved processes, procedures and ways of working across Facility Services operations.
• Participate in site observations, assessments and operational reviews to identify training needs and performance gaps.
• Partner with site leadership to reinforce adoption and sustain improved practices.

Competency Management & Certification

• Conduct knowledge checks, practical evaluations, skills assessments and certification activities.
• Support accurate tracking of training completion, qualifications and certification status.
• Identify skill gaps and recommend coaching, refresher training or reassessment where required.
• Support managers and employees in understanding role-based learning and competency requirements.

Stakeholder Collaboration, Administration & Reporting

• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, EHS, Quality, HR and subject matter experts to deliver workforce capability objectives.
• Maintain accurate training records, attendance data, assessment results and certification evidence in the approved learning systems.
• Gather learner and stakeholder feedback and report deployment progress, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Support communications that keep employees informed of training requirements, schedules and available resources.

Experience & Education

Minimum Required

• Diploma or Associate’s degree in engineering, Technical Operations, Facilities Management, Training & Development or a related discipline; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, high-tech manufacturing or critical facility environments.
• Experience delivering technical, operational, safety or workforce development training.
• Experience coaching, mentoring or assessing technical personnel.
• Working knowledge of competency management, certification processes and adult-learning principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and learning management systems.

Preferred

• Recognized training, coaching or assessor qualification.
• Understanding of standardized work methodologies.
• Experience supporting multi-site or multinational organizations.
• Experience developing practical exercises and competency assessments.
