We are seeking an experienced Technical Trainer to join our manufacturing team at Compart Systems Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. In this role, you will develop, coordinate and conduct technical training programs to strengthen employees' technical knowledge, manufacturing skills and job performance. You will work closely with department leaders and subject matter experts to ensure all training materials are relevant, accurate and delivered consistently across production shifts. The ideal candidate has hands-on manufacturing experience, strong knowledge of adult learning methods and the ability to manage multiple technical training programs.
Develop an annual technical training plan based on production training needs analysis.
Work closely with subject matter experts to develop and update technical training materials.
Develop and manage training schedules for technical and manufacturing-related programs.
Coordinate training activities across different production shifts and locations.
Schedule and track employee training attendance, competency records and skill matrices.
Conduct technical training, post-training assessments and on-the-job performance evaluations.
Develop and maintain training materials, assessments, attendance records and supporting documentation.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and recommend improvements.
Ensure training content is accurate, relevant and delivered consistently.
Communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, engineers and department leaders to support smooth manufacturing operations.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Technical Education or a related field. Equivalent relevant work experience may also be considered.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Technical Trainer, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production operations and new technologies.
Experience in developing technical training materials, training curricula and competency assessments.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and educational technology.
Experience managing training schedules, attendance records and employee skill matrices.
Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
Good planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple training programs simultaneously.
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
