Job summary

Teleflex is seeking a Training Lead for its global operations in Malaysia. The role focuses on delivering multi-functional manufacturing training, maintaining records, and conducting audits.

You will support certification exams, coordinate schedules with Learning & Development, and train operators across various processes and shifts. Ideal candidates hold a Diploma with 1–2 years in a similar capacity, showing attention to detail, organization, and strong MS Word/Excel literacy.

• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, visual) and work across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall training for multi-functional manufacturing operations.
• Support writing and administering of certification exams.
• Maintain training records for all manufacturing personnel.

• Coordinate training schedules with Operations Training Managers and L&D.
• Train operators on processes, equipment operation, documentation handling and material handling.
• Develop training methodology, procedures and materials.

• Ensure adherence to procedures to minimize errors and safety risks.
• Evaluate progress during training and provide feedback to employees.
• Assess competency against process requirements using Skill Matrix.
• Identify gaps and communicate needs to supervisor or operations.
• Meet daily with new employees through DL Learning Curve tracking.
• Maintain training databases and related documentation.
• Develop criteria to evaluate training effectiveness.
• Identify quality problems, compliance gaps and improvement opportunities.

Position Summary

• 1. Responsible for overall Training for multi-functional manufacturing operation.
• 2. Support the writing and administering of Certification exams.
• 3. Keep and maintain training records of all manufacturing personnel.
• 4. Perform audits as required.
• 5. Work closely with the Engineering team to ensure process changes are incorporated into the training curriculum Plan and coordinate training schedules with Operations Training Managers and Learning & Development Department.
• 6. Trains manufacturing operators on a variety of manufacturing processes at workstations and in the classroom, including, but not limited to processes, equipment operation (setup, operation, cleaning, troubleshooting), documentation handling, material handling, etc.
• 7. Develops training methodology, procedures and materials.
• 8. Assists in developing new effective production techniques, training on the new techniques and their implementation in production.
• 9. Ensures employees adhere to procedures and guidelines established by the company to minimize errors and safety risks.
• 10. Evaluates progress of each employee during the training period and upon the completion of the training; provides feedback to the employee on their progress.
• 11. Assesses the employee’s competency level against the requirements established by the operations department for each process or skill.
• 12. Identifies gaps in the employee’s skill level thru Skill Matrix to determine the need for additional training and/or performance management; communicates the identified gaps to the immediate supervisor or operations department.
• 13. Required to meet on a daily basis with all newly hired employees thru DL Learning Curve tracking mechanism.
• 14. Maintains training database, records of training and other documentation inclusive revised or changed as training needed.
• 15. Develop criteria to evaluate the effectiveness of training activities.
• 16. Identify potential quality problems, compliance gaps, and possible process efficiency improvements to production management.

Education / Experience Requirements

Qualification : A minimum of Diploma qualification with experience in relevant field.

Experience : 1-2 years working experience in similar capacity would be added advantages.
Demonstrated attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work different shifts to train employees working on each shift
Knowledge in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, visual)
Demonstrated initiative and self‑motivation.
