GlobalFoundries inc. is seeking a Trainee - Associate Engineer Manufacturing Operation in Penang, Malaysia. The role focuses on optimizing WIP, deploying the workforce efficiently, and engaging specialists to improve performance.

You will identify human error risks, handle line maintenance issues with Engineering, and ensure EHSS compliance and proper documentation while rotating through 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Microelectronics, Chemical Process Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related engineering discipline.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Willingness to rotate shifts and work in a fast paced high-tech manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Optimize WIP management to maximize throughput and linearity.
• Allocate and deploy workforce effectively for optimum productivity.
• Engage specialists regularly to gain feedback and identify improvement areas.
• Identify potential human error issues in the fab and implement corrective actions.
• Resolve line-related maintenance issues and coordinate with Engineering to resolve constraints.
• Ensure safety, discipline and housekeeping compliance in the work area and EHSS policies.
