GlobalFoundries Malaysia Sdn. Bhd is seeking a manufacturing engineer to optimize WIP management, maximize throughput, and deploy the workforce effectively in the Penang fab.

You will analyze production flow and coordinate with operators to sustain high productivity. Responsibilities include engaging specialists for feedback, addressing line-related issues with preventive actions, ensuring safety, discipline, housekeeping, and EHSS compliance, and maintaining accurate documentation and data

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Microelectronics, Chemical Process Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related engineering field.

Responsibilities

• Optimize WIP management to maximize throughput and linearity.
• Allocate and deploy the workforce for optimum productivity.
• Engage specialists regularly to obtain feedback on performance and identify issues.
• Identify human error risks in the fab and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Resolve line-related preventive maintenance issues and understand equipment capacity constraints.
• Ensure safety, discipline and housekeeping compliance in the work area and EHSS adherence.
• Maintain proper documentation and data integrity across processes.

Your Job:

Optimize WIP (Work in progress) management to maximize throughput and linearity. Allocate and deploy workforce effectively for optimum productivity. Engage specialists regularly to give feedback on performance as well as understand difficulties faced & identify potential areas for improvement. Identify potential human error issues in the fab and work on corrective/preventive actions. Resolve and handle line-related, preventive maintenance issues and understand all equipment capacity/constraint issues to identify, implement temporary solutions and work with Engineering team to resolve them. Ensure safety, discipline, and housekeeping compliance in work area by all personnel. Comply with environmental, health, safety and security (EHSS) system, policies, procedures and guidelines that are applicable to your scope of work and workplace. Ensure proper documentation and data integrity.

Required Qualifications:

Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Microelectronics, Chemical Process Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or any other relevant engineering discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work on rotating shifts.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing setting.
