CRBC KUCHING ART BLUELINE 2 is seeking a Traffic Management Supervisor to oversee daily traffic management activities on the project site. You will ensure equipment, signage, barriers, cones, lights, and related items are ready before patrols begin, and conduct morning patrols and inspections.
You will act as witness during handovers, perform monthly inspections, coordinate day and night shifts, and report shortages or incidents while ensuring TMP deployments meet project requirements and
- Supervise and monitor daily traffic management activities within the project site.
- Ensure all traffic management equipment, signage, barriers, cones, lights, and related items are sufficient, complete, and ready for use before patrol activities begin.
- Conduct morning patrols and regular inspections of traffic equipment and work areas.
- Act as the designated witness during the handover and swapping of traffic equipment/goods for each working shift.
- Conduct mandatory monthly inspections of all traffic-related equipment.
- Immediately report any shortage, loss, damage, or missing equipment to the relevant department.
- Arrange timely replacement of lost or damaged traffic equipment.
- Lodge police reports for equipment damaged due to vandalism or third-party/public vehicle incidents, where required.
- Ensure all traffic management requirements are properly prepared and adequate before work activities commence.
- Ensure all Traffic Management Plan (TMP) / traffic arrangements are implemented according to project requirements.
- Ensure traffic equipment and arrangements are properly extended, relocated, or rearranged as work areas progress.
- Coordinate and monitor day and night shift traffic personnel to ensure employees report to work before their scheduled shift.
- Conduct regular site patrols to identify unsafe traffic conditions and take immediate corrective action.
- Ensure the working area and traffic routes remain safe, properly controlled, and accessible.
- Coordinate with site management, safety personnel, traffic controllers, and relevant departments on traffic-related matters.
- Report any traffic-related incidents, hazards, or non-compliance to management promptly.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Management.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in traffic management, construction, infrastructure, or a related field.
- Experience supervising traffic control activities at construction/project sites.
- Good knowledge of traffic management, road safety, and work-zone safety requirements.
- Able to supervise and coordinate traffic personnel and shift operations.
- Able to conduct site inspections and identify unsafe conditions.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Able to work outdoors, shift work, weekends, and overtime when required.
- Responsible, alert, and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
