We are seeking a proactive and site-oriented Traffic Management Officer to oversee and coordinate traffic control measures for an infrastructure and road upgrading project at Cameron Highlands. The successful candidate will ensure traffic management activities are implemented safely, efficiently, and in compliance with approved Traffic Management Plans (TMP), JKR requirements, and local authority regulations.
This position is offered on a project-based contractual basis and will be tied to the duration of the Cameron Highlands road upgrading project, currently expected to run until 2029. Contract extension or future employment opportunities may be considered subject to project requirements and performance.
Coordinate and supervise day-to-day traffic management activities at project site.
Ensure implementation of approved Traffic Management Plans (TMP).
Monitor traffic diversions, road closures, signage, barricades, and temporary traffic control devices.
Coordinate with JKR, local authorities, enforcement agencies, and relevant stakeholders.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with traffic safety requirements.
Work closely with construction and safety teams to minimize disruption to road users.
Monitor traffic flow and propose mitigation measures where necessary.
Ensure traffic marshals and subcontractors comply with site traffic procedures.
Prepare traffic management reports and incident documentation.
Attend site coordination meetings and safety briefings.
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in traffic management for infrastructure or road projects.
Familiarity with JKR traffic management guidelines and road safety requirements.
Experience handling road diversion and live traffic environments is preferred.
Good coordination and communication skills.
Willing to work on-site at Cameron Highlands.
