Job summary

OCBC Malaysia is seeking a data and automation-focused professional to develop, enhance, and maintain Excel VBA macros and Python scripts that automate daily processes on the trading floor.

You will build tools to generate and distribute risk reports, support P&L analysis, and help improve dashboards. You will collaborate with traders to translate workflows into technical solutions and participate in AI-related initiatives under supervision.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing VBA macros and Python scripts.
• Experience in risk reporting and trading analytics.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Excel VBA macros and Python scripts to automate daily processes.
• Build tools to generate, format, and distribute risk reports for traders and management.
• Support the desk in analysing trade, P&L, and risk data.
• Improve existing reporting dashboards and contribute new ideas for automation.
• Work closely with traders to understand workflows and translate them into technical solutions.
• Assist with ad-hoc quantitative or operational tasks on the trading floor.
• Embark on AI related projects with supervision.
