FNZ is seeking a Trading & Settlements Analyst to support the Australian Platform operations, focusing on accurate and timely processing of trading, settlement, and asset transfers for Wrap clients across markets.

You will collaborate with custodians, brokers, fund managers and internal teams to ensure high standards of client outcomes, with exposure to trade settlement, transfers, and investment administration. A fast-paced environment and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in investment operations, settlements, transfers, custody, platform administration or related financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and investment products.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Transfer processing: process daily transfer instructions and settlement activities.
• Record keeping to ensure WRAP administration transparency for regulators and auditors.
• Monitor emails and case logs; provide updates and complete logs accurately.
• Review breach and KPI reports; own exceptions and follow up with Team Manager.
• Assist with process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Job description

We're looking for a Trading & Settlements Analyst to join our Australian Platform operations team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of trading, settlement, and asset transfer activities for our Australian Wrap clients, supporting a range of investment products across domestic and international markets. As part of FNZ's Investment Operations function, you'll work closely with internal teams, custodians, brokers, fund managers, and other external providers to ensure client transactions are processed efficiently and to a high standard. You'll have the opportunity to build expertise across trade settlement, transfer processing, operational controls, and investment administration while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in investment operations, settlements, transfers, or platform administration who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has a strong eye for detail, and takes pride in delivering exceptional client outcomes.

The Responsibilities Will Include

• Transfer processing: Process daily Transfer instructions, ensuring that all instructions are delivered in a timely manner. This includes transfer initiation, settlement, asset break investigations and enquiries.
• Record keeping maintains records as are required to ensure the WRAP administration process is transparent to regulators and external auditors.
• Monitor group email(s) and internal case log(s) to ensure issues are addressed, valid updates are regularly provided, and case logs are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Review Breach and KPI reports and take ownership for exceptions from owned tasks by providing feedback and if required, resolution and follow up to Team Manager.
• Other tasks: undertakes or assist with any other projects/tasks as may reasonably be required to facilitate the smooth operation of the team and Operations. Including working with Service and Support department to develop system and process enhancements to improve the efficiency and accuracy of team processing.
• Working with management and other team members to enhance documented processes for greater efficiencies and controls within the business. Being actively involved in regular reviews and update of role and product related procedures.
• Testing team process related functions in context of project releases and general regression testing where required.

• Previous experience in investment operations, settlements, transfers, custody, platform administration or a related financial services environment.
• A sound understanding of financial markets and investment products, including equities, managed funds and fixed income products.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
