Job summary

FNZ Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Corporate Actions Manager to lead the Investment Operations team across Asia-based platform clients. You will oversee daily BAU, escalation of breaks, regulatory compliance, and delivery of team projects while partnering with technology for process automation.

The role requires a background in back-office financial operations, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment across time zones.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in finance, economics or related field.
• Experience in back office financial operations.
• Experience with brokers, custodians, platforms and regulatory bodies.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Daily management of team BAU to ensure all aspects are delivered within SLA/KPI requirements.
• Deliver tailored staff development plans with regular check-ins.
• Management of team compliance and regulatory requirements to ensure FNZ meet these requirements.
• Regular staff training on procedures and external factors.
• Ensuring up-to-date procedure documentation with regular reviews.
• Deliver team projects as assigned by Head of Department or Operational Strategy.
• Delivery of testing requirements for platform regression and functional testing.
• Engagement and management of new functionality and controls across readiness implementations.
• Delivery of the team’s annual Scorecards.
• Collaborate with technology teams to support system enhancements and automation of corporate action processing.
• Support the Asia core business across the Asian market timezone.

Job description

We're looking for a Corporate Actions Manager to join our Investment Operations team in Kuala Lumpur. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for financial markets and strong attention to detail to manage the Corporate Action processes and team across FNZ’s various Asia based platform clients.

The role will also include responsibility for the escalation of corporate action breaks, working on a number of projects that the team delivers with regards to on-boarding new clients, developing new automated functionality on the Platform, Market changes affecting workflows and Regulatory changes.

Working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, you'll help ensure settlement activity is administered accurately and efficiently, while contributing to the delivery of exceptional service to our clients.

The Responsibilities Will Include

• Daily management of team BAU to ensure all aspects are delivered within SLA/KPI requirements, this also includes Control Account Exception Reporting, Client Deficit Reporting, Daily Team Checklist completion, Platform Issue Log Management, Email Inbox Management, Escalations to Head of Department.
• Deliver tailored staff development plans with regular check-ins.
• Management of team Compliance and Regulatory requirements to ensure FNZ meet these requirements as set out in:
• Investment Operations Risk Committee
• GS-007 External Audit
• Internal Monitoring Review
• Internal Audit
• FATCA or any other regulatory requirements
• Regular staff training encompassing internal procedures & external factors that determine how FNZ follow procedures.
• Ensuring the teams procedure documentation is up to date with regular (bi-annual) reviews to ensure accuracy.
• Deliver team projects as assigned by the Head of department or wider Operational Strategy Objectives.
• Delivery of testing requirements for all platform regression and functional testing requirements.
• Engagement and management of new functionality and associated controls across our readiness implementations.
• Delivery of the team’s annual Scorecards.
• Working closely with technology teams to support system enhancements and the ongoing automation of corporate action processing.
• Supporting the Asia core business of FNZ across the Asian market timezone.

What are we ideally looking for in a successful candidate:

• Tertiary Qualification
• Background in back office financial operations
• Experience with financial market participants such as brokers, custodians, platforms and regulatory bodies.
• A genuine interest in financial markets, investment operations, asset servicing or corporate actions.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across a range of stakeholders.
