Job summary

Western Digital Corporation is seeking a Test Operations Technician in Kuala Lumpur to support PN Test manufacturing operations, manage test heads, inspect processes, and assist engineering efforts for safe, efficient production.

The role involves setup, inspection, basic troubleshooting, and inventory control, with opportunity to contribute to process improvements and data analysis in a fast-paced, cleanroom environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics or related field.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply.
• Up to 2 years manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment operation.
• Familiarity with MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook).
• Able to read and follow work instructions and technical docs.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment.
• Know-how of PPE and LOTO safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Support daily PN Test operations to meet production, quality, and delivery requirements.
• Perform test head setup, handling, inspection, and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain test head inventory control and deployment for production/engineering.
• Monitor test head condition and escalate abnormalities to engineers.
• Assist in data collection and failure investigations.
• Support equipment qualification and recipe configuration for production lots.
• Assist engineers with test head maintenance and software updates.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, and asset movements.
• Coordinate with service providers for test head repair/maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, ISO, and EHS policies.
