Job summary

Western Digital seeks a Technician 2, Process for its MRE Engineering Technician team in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia. This on-site role focuses on DET Guzik & QMT tests, data handling, and rapid test result turnover.

You will participate in a rotating 12-hour shift, support lab 7S, and assist with test equipment maintenance. Candidates should have a Diploma in Engineering or related field and 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, with proficiency in MS Windows and Excel.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Engineering or related field.
• 1–2 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Windows and office tools.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom and rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform all types of DET Guzik & QMT tests.
• Ensure timely test results and accurate buyoff measurements.
• Compile and upload data to SPC for Test TAT.
• Support safety and 7S housekeeping in the MRE lab.
