Job summary

Coherent Malaysia seeks a tester equipment maintenance technician to minimize downtime and ensure reliable tester operation. You will perform periodic DV, improve test setups for ergonomics and efficiency, and support yield and testability enhancements across products.

Adherence to Safety, ESD, Cleanroom, and housekeeping guidelines is required; you may stop a tester if quality or safety issues arise. Experience in tester configuration and debugging, and a Diploma in Electrical/Electronics or

Qualifications

• Education: Diploma in Electrical/Electronics or Computer Engineering.
• Experience: At least 1 year in Equipment Maintenance/Testing.
• Learning path for candidates without experience may be considered by the hiring manager.

• Ensure tester operation minimizes test equipment downtime.
• Responsible for the periodic DV of tester.
• Improve test setup ergonomics and efficiency through elimination, simplification, integration and automation.
• Support test yield and testability enhancement projects for all products.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, ESD, Cleanroom and Housekeeping guidelines.
• SPC monitoring of tester performance.
• Practice Risk Based Thinking in planning and execution of tasks.
• Authorized to stop any tester if quality or safety issues arise.
• Adhere to ISO requirements and company rules.

Job Requirements

Education: Diploma of in Electrical/Electronics, Computer Engineering or relevant.

Experience: At least 1 year of Equipment Maintenance/Testing experience. Candidates without appropriate experience may be accepted by the hiring manager subject to job nature, availability of buddy, duration of learning, etc.

Special Skills

• With good computer literacy, good communication skill.
• Experience in testers or equipment configuring and troubleshooting.
• Experience in tester debug or verification.
