Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corporation in Penang, Malaysia seeks a QA/Test Engineer to ensure product quality and reliability prior to release. You will set up new products, optimize test strategies, and support the QA team in analyzing customer failures with preventive countermeasures.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent, 1+ year in ATE systems, and willingness to travel overseas for new product transfers or machine buy-off.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems, hardware/software integration and production test methodologies

Responsibilities

• Set up new products and improve test strategies to reduce test time and increase capacity and yield.
• Analyze customer failure samples and provide countermeasure programs to prevent recurrence.
• Provide training to technicians to streamline daily repair work.
• Troubleshoot test boards and testers; implement permanent countermeasures for IC failures.
• Ensure test station operation, performance and robustness; develop root-cause investigation plans.

Job Description

To ensuring the quality, functionality and reliability of a product before it released to the customer by identifying and diagnosing defects and issues

Key Responsibilities

• Setup new product & improve test strategies for existing products, to perform program test time reduction for capacity improvement & test yield improvement in production.
• Support QA team on analyze customer failure samples & provide countermeasure program for detect future similar failure slip through to customer.
• Provide training to technician group for smoothening daily repairing work.
• Troubleshooting test board/ tester if IC failure occur & provide permanent countermeasure.
• Ensure test station operation, performance, stability & robustness. Develop plans to investigate root cause of deviations.
• Have knowledge on ATE tester platform e.g Teradyne ETS-800, Advantest T2000, T3347, Fusion-CX & LTX tester

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics, Microelectronics or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience in Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems, hardware / software integration and production test methodologies
• Fresh graduate is encouraging to apply.
