Job summary

Renesas Electronics is seeking a seasoned engineer to drive yield enhancement and test cost reduction across the product lifecycle. You will partner with test, quality, assembly and OSAT teams to resolve issues, qualify new products, and implement platform migrations while focusing on overall quality and manufacturability of devices.

The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, RCA capability, and project leadership to sustain performance and margins in a high-volume semiconductor environment.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in High Volume Semiconductor Manufacturing, preferably Test/Product/Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of analog/digital/power product testing, failure analysis, reliability tests, RCA.
• Proficiency in statistical data analysis tools (JMP, Spotfire, etc.).
• Strong communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Strong project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and disposition low-yield production lots and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with test engineering, assembly, quality, internal factory and OSAT to resolve issues and maintain production flow.
• Execute day-to-day sustaining activities (EQA hold rate reduction, SYL/SBL sustaining, etc.).
• Qualification and validation of new products, tester platform migration, and various engineering activities.
• Drive Gross Margin Improvement initiatives (yield improvement).
• System integration across processes and teams.

Job description

This role interfaces with cross functional teams on all phases of product life cycle. This role is responsible for driving yield enhancement, reducing test costs and ensuring the overall quality and manufacturability of the devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and provide disposition on low-yield production lots, and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Work closely with test engineering, assembly, quality, internal factory and OSAT to resolve issues efficiently and ensure smooth production flow.
• Execute day to day sustaining activities (EQA hold rate reduction, SYL/ SBL sustaining, etc.) to ensure delivery fulfillment.
• Qualification and validation of new products, tester platform migration and various engineering activities.
• Gross Margin Improvement Initiatives (Yield improvement, etc.).
• System integration.

Qualifications

Must Have Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, or related field.
• > 7 years of experience in High Volume Semiconductor Manufacturing environment preferably in Test Product Engineering, Test Engineering or Product Engineering
• Strong understanding of product knowledge & test methodology of analog/digital/power product, failure analysis, reliability test, RCA.
• Proficiency in statistical data analysis tools (JMP, Spotfire, etc.).
• Strong communication skills to interact with people at all levels
• Strong project management skills.

Good to Have Qualifications

• Experience with module devices
• Experience with Visual Basic/C++ programming
• Experience with ATE tester platforms (Teradyne ETS364/Flex, Advantest).
