Job summary

Resorts World Genting in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to design and implement test automation for mobile and web applications. You will craft test plans, build frameworks, and execute test scripts to ensure software quality across platforms.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in software testing, with hands-on automation using Selenium, Appium, and UFT, plus strong knowledge of testing processes and cross‑device testing.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of software testing experience with at least 2 years in automation testing.
• Experience with mobile apps and cross‑platform testing (iOS/Android).
• Familiarity with JIRA, testing processes, and test planning.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the detailed SIT Test Plan and Test Report.


• Design automation framework, develop and execute test scripts.


• Perform technical and test execution activities.


• Responsible for preparing test case, planning the test execution plans, and ensuring that test execution tasks are assigned and executed accordingly.


• Reverse engineer requirements and develop models as needed to support test automation.


• Responsible for mitigating business risks through timely, precise execution and validation of test results.


• Work closely with development teams to create test plans for enhancements and application fixes.


• Follow the test process and continuously improve the quality of the test process.


• Ensure constructive working relationships within team and with other functional group.


• Work under minimal supervision to carry out procedures and execute testing to ensure that the application meeting project engagement and requirements.


• Assist the Test Manager in performing test estimation if required.

Qualifications and Experiences:

• Possess a Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or related field.


• Have a minimum total of 4 years' of working experience in software testing, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in automation testing using the Selenium/Appium framework & Micro focus Unified functional Testing(UFT) and tools


• Experience in create and execute test scenarios for mobile software products, strong interest in and demonstrated knowledge of various mobile devices and operating systems.


• Familiar with various testing tools/methodology. E.g. JIRA, HP Performance Centre, HP LoadRunner, testing process and strategy.


• Knowledge on TMMi Testing Framework would be added advantage.


• Candidate with Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) would be preferred.


• Knowledge on resorts wide business operations such as Commerce, Hotel, mobile application and web systems.
