Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and lead maintenance activities.
- Experience with preventive maintenance and root-cause analysis is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead a team of engineers and technicians to ensure equipment is properly maintained.
- Drive to meet OEE goals for internal and customer-defined targets.
- Review and ensure sufficient spare parts availability (consigned or Carsem-owned).
- Organize, direct and supervise machine maintenance, restoration, diagnosis of issues, and preventive maintenance guidelines.
- Develop skills and proficiency among engineers/staff to enhance plant equipment performance.
- Train assistants to achieve organizational goals and business objectives.
- Ensure high productivity by managing maintenance staff performance.
- Provide recommendations, analyze data, and develop strategies for quantity and quality improvements.
- Identify problems, propose alternatives and actions, and implement solutions.
- Involve in training, succession planning, and career development.

Accountable to plan and lead a team of Engineers and Technicians to ensureequipment’s are properly maintained
Drive to meet OEE goals for both internal and customer defined.
Review and drive to ensure sufficient Consigned / Carsem owned equipment spare parts availability.
Organizes, directs and supervises activities related to machine maintenance , machine restoration, diagnose operational issues , Preventive Maintenance effectively and provide guidelines.
Develop skills and proficiency among all directs Engineers / Staff in order to update the performance of plant equipment
Train the assistants with an aim to achieve the organizational and business goals, objectives and visions
Ensure high productivity by managing the required performance of the maintenance staff
Provide recommendations, analyze, report, and develop strategies to target the improvement in quantity as well as quality
Identify problems, provide alternatives, create choices and solutions for course of action
Get involved in periodic training, succession planning, employee selection and career development
Resolve engineering issues by identifying their roots
Keep track of completion of various operations and tasks within the given time frame

The factories are supported by extensive R&D and failure analysis staff and incorporate highly sophisticated, "state of the art" automated equipment, ensuring quality products which meet the exacting standards of all the automotive, telecom, computer and consumer goods industries. Both factories maintain world-class quality standards having achieved ISO/TS 16949, ISO-9001, ISO-14001 certifications and comply to the Sony Green Partner Program. They are supported with a global network of sales and technical support offices. The China factory, Carsem-Suzhou Ltd., is located in the province of Jiangsu, 50 miles (80Km) west of Shanghai. The new factory is 172K sq. ft. (16K sq. m.) and is on 645K sq. ft. (60K sq. m.) of land in the Suzhou Industrial Park. The construction was completed in January 2004, the staff has been through extensive training in Carsem's existing Malaysian factories and the assembly and test equipment to support the manufacture of the MLP (Micro Leadframe Package) Quad and Dual was installed during the second quarter of 2004. Customer qualifications were completed during the second quarter and the factory started shipping production volumes during the third quarter of 2004.
