Job summary

Brooks Automation is seeking a Test Engineer II to lead end‑to‑end test capability for capital equipment manufacturing, from initial test bays setup to high‑volume production. You will support test strategy, data analysis, troubleshooting, and cross‑functional alignment throughout the product lifecycle to ensure manufacturing readiness and quality.

The role emphasizes DFX/DFT feedback, ECO/MCO change control, and on‑the‑floor leadership for Test Technicians and Manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

Experience defining test strategy and industrializing test bays with optimized labor balance and cycle time.
Ability to analyze test data for trends, yield, reliability signals and process drift.
Familiar with ESD control requirements and safety interlocks on a manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities

NPI, Test Strategy & Industrialization: define test strategy and industrialize test bay layout for line ramp readiness.
Production Test Operations & Troubleshooting: operate/test bays, lead troubleshooting of test failures, provide on-floor technical support.
Data, Yield & Problem Solving: analyze test data, lead RCCA/8D for test-related issues, create control plans.
Test Measurement Equipment (TME) Management: establish and maintain operational requirements for calibration, certification and inventory of TME.
Manufacturing Floor ESD Requirements & Implementation: define and implement ESD controls and audit compliance.
