Job summary

MetaComp Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based digital payment solution provider, is seeking an experienced test engineer to develop and implement automated testing for its back-office systems. You will build and improve the testing framework, analyze data flows, and support timely production releases.

• Participate in requirements and technical reviews; identify risks and drive issue remediation.
• Follow end-to-end iteration process; perform functional, regression, and performance testing; report production issues promptly.
• Collaborate with R&D and Product teams to support business implementation and timely releases.

Experience

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for test development and implementation of automated testing for the company’s back-office business systems. Quickly build and continuously improve the testing framework based on business requirements, efficiently execute various testing tasks, and ensure stable production releases.
• Analyze the logic, data flows, and end-to-end processes of various back-office business modules. Accurately identify business pain points, process bottlenecks, and potential risks, and produce clear business flow documentation and test plans.
• Build and maintain automated test scripts and testing tools using Python. Continuously improve testing efficiency, optimize testing processes, and reduce the cost of regression testing.
• Participate in requirements reviews and technical solution reviews, proactively identify potential testing risks in requirements and technical designs, and drive issue remediation to ensure the quality of business iterations.
• Follow the end-to-end business iteration process and adapt to a fast-paced development environment. Efficiently perform functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, and other testing activities, while promptly reporting and tracking the resolution of production issues.
• Collaborate closely with R&D and Product teams to support business implementation and iterations. Proactively coordinate with relevant stakeholders, drive issues through to closure, and ensure smooth and timely production releases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above, with 5+ years of experience in back-office testing or test development within the internet/technology industry, and proven experience supporting end-to-end business project iterations.
• Proficient in basic Python syntax and able to use Python to write simple test scripts and support testing activities. Advanced framework development skills are not required; practical experience in implementing day-to-day test automation is sufficient.
• Strong business understanding and the ability to analyze back-office business modules under guidance, understand basic business logic, interfaces, and data flow processes.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, responsible, and highly execution-focused, with the ability to quickly adapt to business requirements and efficiently deliver testing tasks without unnecessary delays or handoffs.
• Strong ability to work under pressure and adapt to rapid business iterations and multiple concurrent tasks, including urgent production releases and time-sensitive issue investigation.
• Basic knowledge of back-office API testing and automated testing processes, familiarity with commonly used testing tools, and basic database operation skills.
• Strong communication and coordination skills, with a structured approach to troubleshooting. Able to proactively identify potential issues in business processes and code and drive them through to resolution.
