Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Test Automation Lead specializing in Playwright to define the automation roadmap, govern standards and lead migration of TOSCA assets. The role requires strong leadership to guide automation engineers, collaborate with DevOps and test managers, and ensure release readiness through robust CI/CD practices.

Ideal candidates will have enterprise automation experience, hands-on Playwright and TOSCA skills, and a strong background in banking domain testing.

Competenze

Job Title: Test Automation Lead - Playwright

Key Responsibilities

• Define the Playwright automation roadmap, governance model, coding standards, reusable components and quality gates.
• Assess existing TOSCA suites and lead the migration approach, including prioritization, traceability, redesign, validation and retirement of migrated assets.
• Establish CI/CD execution, test reporting, environment configuration, test-data handling and defect-triage practices.
• Lead design and code reviews, mentor automation engineers and provide technical direction across delivery teams.
• Partner with Test Managers, application teams, domain SMEs and DevOps teams to define automation scope and release readiness.
• Track automation coverage, execution reliability, migration progress, maintenance effort and delivery risks.

Mandatory Skills and Experience

• Proven experience designing enterprise-grade test automation frameworks and reusable libraries.
• Working experience with TOSCA and practical understanding of converting model-based TOSCA assets into maintainable Playwright code.
• Experience integrating automated tests with Git-based workflows and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
• Strong debugging, test-design, code-review, stakeholder-management and team-leadership skills.

Banking Domain Experience

• Demonstrated testing experience in multiple banking areas, preferably Cards, Digital Banking, Loan Origination and Core Banking.
• Understanding of end-to-end customer journeys, upstream/downstream interfaces, batch processing and data validation in regulated banking environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• ISTQB or relevant automation / cloud / DevOps certification.
• Exposure to SQL, accessibility testing, performance testing, mobile automation, microservices and AI-assisted quality engineering.
