Job summary

Mcct Sdn Bhd in Malaysia invites a senior professional to join its M&E tendering team. You will lead tender costing, supplier negotiations, and documentation, ensuring competitive quotes and compliant submissions.

You will also manage budgets, coordinate procurement, coach junior staff, and drive continuous improvement across maintenance and project tenders, with site visits as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in electrical contracting, costing and BOQs, with track record in tenders and commercial terms.

Responsibilities

• Tender costing: prepare maintenance quotes, cost estimates and tender pricing based on specs and site visits.
• Supplier management: source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers, vendors and subcontractors.
• Tender documentation: prepare/submit accurate, compliant tender documents on time.
• Budget and handover: finalize project budgets on award and hand over costs to Project & Maintenance teams.
• Procurement and control: manage purchasing to budget/schedule, maintain records/databases, support cost control/continuous improvement.
• Senior-level: lead complex bids, coach juniors on BOQs/tenders, drive negotiation strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tender costing: Prepare maintenance quotes, cost estimates, and tender pricing based on specs and site visits.

• Education and technical: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (or related)with knowledge of electrical installation methods/standards.
• Experience: Executive - exposure to electrical contracting, costing, and BOQs; Senior Exec. hands-on contracting plus proven costing/tender/commercial track record.
• Commercial skills: Strong in cost estimation, BOQ take-offs, and tender pricing.
• Digital fluency: Proficient in MS Excel (formulas, lookups, pivots) and commercial documentation.
• Stakeholder and work style: Strong negotiation/communication; organized, detail-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines; willing to attend site visits.
