Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a tender or cost engineering role within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in using construction estimating software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Familiarity with construction contracts, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Motivated self-starter with a proactive and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Analyse construction drawings, specifications, and other tender documents to accurately estimate project costs and resource requirements
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, quotations, and tender submissions that meet clients' requirements and timelines
• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, new technologies, and potential cost-saving opportunities
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and availability
• Support the project management team during the tender evaluation and contract negotiation stages
• Monitor project costs and margins, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency gains
• Continuously look for ways to enhance the company's tender and costing processes
